Buying an instrument should not mean waiting six months for it. Here is how you can pay at Tone District, in the showroom and online.
We accept all the usual cards through Shopify Payments — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro — along with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and PayPal. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are never held by us.
In the showroom you can pay by card or by bank transfer. We take cash, subject to the limits set out below.
Klarna lets you split a purchase into instalments or delay payment, depending on which options are available to you at checkout. Klarna decides what you are offered and whether to approve you — we have no part in that decision and cannot appeal it.
Klarna runs a check when you apply. Depending on the product, that check may be visible on your credit file. Missing payments can affect your ability to borrow in future, and Klarna may charge fees for late payment. Klarna's own terms apply and you should read them before you commit.
Where available, Shop Pay Instalments lets you split the cost of an order across several payments. Approval and terms are set by the provider, not by us.
PayPal Pay in 3 splits an eligible purchase into three payments, the first at checkout. PayPal assesses the application. Missed payments may be reported and may affect your credit file.
It is a credit agreement. However short the term and whatever the interest rate, an instalment plan is borrowing. Treat it as one.
Someone else decides. The provider approves or declines, sets your limit and sets your terms. We cannot influence any of it, and being declined is not a reflection on you as a customer here.
Approval is not instant in every case. Most decisions are quick. Some take longer or need more information.
Missed payments have consequences. Fees, and potentially a mark on your credit file. Check what you are agreeing to.
Ask the provider, not us. We can help with the instrument. We cannot see your account, change your payment dates, or discuss your application. For anything about the agreement itself, contact the provider directly.
Payment dates, balances and payment methods are managed in the provider's own app or account area. If you are struggling to make a payment, contact the provider early — they can usually do more before a payment is missed than after.
If you are having wider difficulty with money, free and independent advice is available from MoneyHelper, Citizens Advice and StepChange.
If you return an item bought on finance, we refund the provider, not you. The provider then adjusts your agreement — cancelling it if the return is a full one, or reducing the balance on a partial return.
That adjustment is not instant. You may still see a scheduled payment during the gap between us refunding and the provider updating the agreement. Keep paying to schedule until the provider confirms the change, or you risk a late fee on an order you have already sent back.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. We cannot refund a finance order to a card or in cash.
Your cancellation and return rights are the same on a finance order as on any other. They are set out in full on the refund policy and shipping and returns pages.
We accept cash in the showroom. For anti-money-laundering reasons there are limits on high-value cash transactions and we may ask for identification on larger amounts.
